‘WER’ Trailer: Looks Like We Finally Have A Good Werewolf Movie Coming!

We now have a revised trailer for Incentive Filmed Entertainment and Sierra/Affinity’s WER, a new found-footage pic that takes place in police station with the suspect turning into a werewolf.

William Brent Bell and Matthew Peterman – the duo behind Paramount’s The Devil Inside – have re-teamed to tell the story of a defense attorney named Kate Moore (A.J. Cook) who has set out to clear the name of a suspect in a brutal murder case. The lead, Talan, is accused of murdering an American family. While Talan appears to be gentle on the surface, his attorney soon learns that Talan is actually a werewolf.

Brian J. O’Connor, Simon Quarterman, Vik Sahay also star in the film produced by Steven Schneider (Insidious, Paranormal Activity).

FilmDistrict is supposed to be releasing here in the States. They are included on the poster, to maybe a release date is forthcoming?

Following the brutal slaying of an American family vacationing in rural France, a peculiar man living near the crime scene is blindly charged with their murders. Believing her client is innocent, expatriate American defense attorney Kate Moore and her team decide to take a scientific approach in order to prove his physical incapability to local authorities. As she delves into his enigmatic family history, she uncovers evidence that suggests the rebirth of an unexpected legend. When a bloodbath ensues, Kate must do whatever she can to survive the surrounding terror and prevent the chaos from spreading.

    Looks interesting.

  • Skull-And-Crossbones

looks pretty cool. i’ll keep my eye on this one.

  • zafisher94

Certainly has potential. I’ll probably check it out once it’s on blu-ray.

  • David

finally, someone actually turning into a werewolf instead of dog. this looks pretty good.

  • TwoNinetyNine

I want to like this. But, I really hate it when the poster name drops. Paranormal Activity was a lucky shot an now has become cliche’. Insidious was decent, but flawed. Putting that stuff on the poster, I think, actually detracts from potential this movie has because if you hated Insidious, that might set you on a lower expectation for this. Why can’t we just let movies stand on their own merits instead of lumping them in with all the movies the producers and directors have done previously. That has always bothered me.

I am intrigued by the fact that this isn’t about a hairy dog.

You hit it right on the button. I couldn’t agree more.

odd, this trailer has been ripped off the internet; I can’t find a working link anywhere.

  • mobstar67

i havnt enjoyed a werewolf movie since Dog Soldiers over a decade ago…
not big on found footage films..the trailers usually contain everything and your stuck watching a hour plus of nothing..

  • woodchuck

yeah…you lost me at “found footage” that trend seriously needs to die

  • lycan34

That looks pretty good! i think i’m gonna like this one!

  • juice1701

I am looking forward to this one. This looks like a good film about a Wolfman (hence Lon Cheney Jr. Classic) instead of a Wolfdog. However by mentioning Insidious and found footage almost makes me change my mind. Because I thought Insidious sucked and I’m really tired of the tired found footage gimmick. But I will give this one the benefit of the doubt because as always I’m a sucker for a good trailer.

There hasn’t been a good werewolf movie since Dog Soldiers. This isn’t a werewolf, it’s a guy with slightly less body hair than me.
