[AFM ’13] Dimension Changes Title of ‘Sin City’ Sequel

Following the groundbreaking film that grossed $160 million worldwide, the newly titled Sin City: A Dame to Die For reunites Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller for the next chapter in this trailblazing series. Weaving together stunning visuals with an uncompromising, hard-boiled plot, the film promises more lurid tales from the various residents of Basin City. For whatever reason, Dimension Films decided to remove “Kill” from the title…

With a star-studded cast that includes the legendary Bruce Willis (Pulp Fiction), Academy Award nominee Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), Academy Award nominee Josh Brolin (Milk), Jessica Alba (Spy Kids 4), and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises), Sin City: A Dame to Die For ensures an experience like no other!

Check out the art on display at the ongoing AFM. The sequel hits theaters August 22, 2014.

?Werid. Ill admit it is catchier but what gives? Is this some kind of censorship or just for the sake of a catchy name. I really don’t like this as it’s not the name and “a dame to die for” is just wrong for the story.

A dame to kill for sounds more in line with Marv’s story. Whoever made this change clearly does not understand why the story is called dame to kill for and not die for… Don’t want to spoil anything for those who have not read it but the title could not be more wrong!

*** A dame to die for sounds more in line with Mar’v story.

Boooo I don’t understand why they would change it.
