‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ Finally Set To Shoot?

Although this needs to be confirmed, we’re hearing out of the Berlin EFM that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is casting up and ready to finally shoot.

Burr Steers is still set to direct, with Evil Dead‘s Lily Collins, pictured above, and Black Swan‘s Natalie Portman, below, starring.

Sean McKittrick (The Box, Donnie Dark, God Bless America), Allison Shearmur (The Hunger Games) and Annette Savitch (Hesher) are producing.

In the vein of Snow White and The Huntsman and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, is the latest retelling of a classic tale fused with entertaining, cutting edge action. In this fresh twist on Jane Austen’s widely celebrated novel, a mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Rabid zombies are as much of an obstacle to the unconventional attraction between Liz and Mr. Darcy as the charms of the manipulative Mr. Wickham. Casting aside personal and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy must unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another.

Sierra/Affinity is repping while the film is in pre-production.

I hope this is true, but I won’t get too excited until a confirmation is released.

Also, Lily Collins wasn’t in Evil Dead. She was originally cast as Mia before she dropped out to be in Mortal Instruments. Jane Levy replaced her. =)

hate to break this to you but Lily Collins was not in the Evil Dead remake. like wineandwatch said, she dropped out to play Clary in the Mortal Instruments movie.

personally as much as I love the Mortal Instruments books, she should have stayed with the Evil Dead because the other movie was such a disappointment compared to the books.
