Even after the awful The Haunting in Connecticut, Peter Cornwell is getting a slew of directing gigs. Having directed episodes of “Hemlock Grove,” he also helmed Mercy for Blumhouse. Now, he’s mixing martial arts and horror.
ScreenDaily reports that Gudrun Giddings and Christian Arnold-Beutel are teaming up to produce Minion, “the story of a farewell party for a martial arts coach that descends into horror. When a party game reveals the man is possessed, the guests must battle supernatural forces as they undertake a twisted ritual of reverse exorcism.”
Eric Gable and Ben Bostik wrote the screenplay.
I’m not ready to write Cornwell off yet as I want to see what he does with Mercy…
