After playing the SXSW Film Festival this March, the original 1954 Gojira (Godzilla) will be opening in limited theaters across the country.
Reports this blog, Rialto Pictures is once again rolling out the uncut Japanese version of the 1954 classic, boasting a 60th Anniversary DCP (Digital Cinema Package) Restoration.
Directed by Ishiro Honda, and starring Takashi Shimura, Akira Takarada and Momoko Kochi, “American nuclear weapons testing results in the creation of a seemingly unstoppable, dinosaur-like beast.“
