‘Dishonored’ Sequel Leaked, Reveal Coming At E3 2014

Forget Thief, the stealth genre may have a new king. Released last October by developer Arkane Studios, Dishonored was a brilliantly realized stealth action game that proved there’s still plenty of room for innovation in the genre. I wouldn’t have predicted a sequel reveal anytime soon, but that may very well be the case here. If this leaked off-screen photo of a slide from a behind closed doors presentation is real, an announcement may come as soon as E3. I’d also like to know what that “Darkness of Tyvia” bit means, because Google isn’t proving very helpful.

I called Dishonored “delicious” in my review of the game, saying it “mixes elements from some of the best games of the action and stealth genres while successfully bringing plenty of ingenious ideas of its own.” If you haven’t played it already, this is very much a game worth experiencing.

Dishonored was awesome, so I’d be surprised if they weren’t gonna release a next-gen installment before people forget about it. My only issue was the difficulty I had doing a no-kill run in the last half of the game (Deus Ex wasn’t nearly as frustrating).

“Dishonored was a brilliantly realized stealth action game that proved there’s still plenty of room for innovation in the genre.”

That’s a joke right? The stealth was horrible, the combat dull, the powers were unbalanced as hell and the only challenges to be found where when the AI or scripted events bugged out on you.

I’ll give Arkane Studios a second chance but I’m not holding my breath.

Aghhh, I still haven’t beaten the first one yet!

Hurry, you’re running out of time!

Hell yes! I’ve been dying for this

I’m pretty sure Tyvia is one of the neighboring kingdoms mentioned in the first Dishonored. Corvo visited Tyvia trying to form an alliance or request aid to help with the plague of Dunwall, but apparently it didn’t go well. That being said…

I hope this pic is real because I AM SO EXCITED FOR A SEQUEL!
