Here’s an interesting bit of news that’s possessing Twentieth Century Fox.
I’m told that FOX
has set had previously tapped Shawn Harwell and Jeff Baena to pen the supernatural comedy Miracle Workers.
Harwell wrote the hilarious The Campaign as well as episodes of the incredible “Eastbound & Down”. Baena helmed the Sundance drama Life After Beth, pictured, and penned the 2004 I Heart Huckabees. Baena worked on Miracle Workers prior to the Sundance Film Festival.
The pic is described as a buddy comedy in which an actor pretends to be an exorcist. The two jokers think it’s all fun and games until they come face-to-face with a real menace.
Michael Aguiler and Kent Alterman (A History of Violence) are producing.
*While this news is fresh into the world, WME contacted us explaining that the deal was done a few years back.
