Retailer Listings Out ‘The Walking Dead’ for PS4, Xbox One

The number of retailers with listings for a special Game of the Year edition of Telltale’s The Walking Dead has climbed to three, as Amazon and Gamefly join GameStop in listing the unannounced version of the popular episodic series. Both retailers have the game marked for a late July release, and while this is all still very much unconfirmed, we know the series is coming to Microsoft and Sony’s consoles, it’s just a matter of when.

Whether or not these listings get confirmed, when The Walking Dead GOTY edition arrives on Xbox One and PS4, it will come with the five episode-long season one, along with the bonus DLC episode, 400 Days.

Outside of the possibility of this being free for PS+, I can’t see me re-purchasing this game. I own every episode on the Xbox 360 and don’t think the visual upgrade, if any, will justify another $20+.

That being said, for those who haven’t tried it and have the Xbox One/PS4, you are in for a treat if you do purchase it. This is one of the best games I have ever played.

They haven’t mentioned whether or not the current gen version will have any improvements, but I don’t think it’ll be any different. It might feature a smoother frame rate, but that’s probably it.
