Although it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, Rebel Wilson has already met with Ghostbusters director Paul Feig about starring in the all-female reboot.
In an interview with NBC’s The Today Show, the Australian actress admitted she’s been taking meetings about becoming the first female ‘buster (if you don’t count Janine).
“Look, I have had a meeting, but who knows, who knows. They have to look at the script when it’s finished.”
As reported earlier this year, the previous screenplays gave been tossed and a new one is in the works under the pen of Katie Dippold – with an all-female cast.
Wilson starred in Feig’s Bridesmaids, which always made her an obvious casting choice.
