Don’t Expect a Third ‘Raid’ Anytime Soon

The Raid director is taking is time with a third film, telling fans of Twitter they shouldn’t expect anything until at least 2018/19.

While he has ideas (he has been quoted as saying that it takes place “two hours before The Raid 2 ends”), nothing is written on paper. And let’s be honest, he probably deserves a break after a grueling 100+day shoot on the sequel, out now.

Fine by me, take your time dude, quality over rushed material.

Just watched “Raid 2” this week. If you haven’t watched it, you better get on it! This ride will thrill any action movie fan or gore hound.

  • Michael James

Oh boy. I see you couldn’t even make it through you’re first sentence without a spelling error.

  • Richter Belmont

He could always make a sequel to Merantau until then. Or better yet, take over Dredd 2!

can you imagine if the studio are offering him to make Raid 3 and he goes help fund Dredd 2 first 🙂

  • Damn, I want RAID3 now. But if he takes his time and gives us something more awesome than Raid 2, I will shut the fuck up. The dude nailed the action sequences in the sequel.Cinematography, choreography were uber stylized.

Best action film of 2014, it’s not an opinion it’s a fact..

While I am so ready for Raid 3, I’m glad hes taking time to write something great. We know the martial arts choreography will be bad fucking ass so no worries there but I hope he abandons the “2 Hrs before the end of R2” idea, that just doesn’t rub me the right way just continue where you left off like you did with Raid 2. And I want to see Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa duke it out! Man that would be an insane fucking fight.
