We’ve been investigating missing footage ever since Fede Alvarez’s insane Evil Dead remake hit theaters back in 2013. Bruce Campbell denied its existence, even though early trailers and stills proved there was in fact a variant finale.
Bloody Disgusting reader Alexis Ekizoglou just tipped me off to an IMDB thread where a user alleges that a UK television presentation of the remake was a never-before-seen extended version that carried a heap of missing footage.
Proof? Ah, we gotcha. Below we not only have the alternate ending, which shows Mia (played by Jane Levy) – arm missing and all – on the side of the road begging for help, but three other scenes clipped from the theatrical cut of the movie! It would be awesome to see this released in an extended version here in the States. After multiple viewings, I’m still a fan of the movie.
