While we wait for James Wan‘s Demonic to release here in the States, his latest production is already casting up.
Gabriel Bateman (“Stalker”) will star in New Line’s horror project Lights Out with James Wan producing and David F. Sandberg directing, Variety reports.
“The story centers on a supernatural entity attacking a family, with one of the members required to step up to protect them from a threat that can be seen only when the lights go out.”
Lawrence Grey and Eric A. Heisserer are also producing, with Heiserer writing the script based on Sandberg’s 2013 short film.
Heisserer’s writing credits include The Thing, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Final Destination 5 and Hours, which he also directed.
