A handful of cities are getting a double dose of Paranormal Activity this week, as developer VRWERX has announced they’re bringing a playable demo of the virtual reality game that was announced in June to select AMC theaters in Los Angeles, New York, Boston and San Francisco. The demo will be available, for free, from October 22-24.

“The timing couldn’t be better for the reveal of our Paranormal Activity VR Game demo,” said Russell Naftal of Beast MG/VRWERX. “With the Paranormal Activity VR Game demo, we’ve created an entirely unmatched horror experience on this amazing new platform. We can’t wait for everyone to play the full game this spring!”

The game will support the major VR headsets that are currently on the way, including the HTC Vive, Playstation VR and Oculus, when it arrives next spring on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One. A non-VR version of the game will also release on those platforms.

“This Paranormal Activity VR Game from VRWERX is truly terrifying,” said LeeAnne Stables, President of Worldwide Marketing Partnerships & Licensing for Paramount Pictures. “This is a groundbreaking way to experience the actual thrill of ‘Paranormal Activity’ and we are excited to give fans of the movie franchise a first look at what’s coming this spring.”

The Ghost Dimension releases on October 23.
