Bruce Campbell knew more than he wanted to admit when he expressed confidence that Starz would renew “Ash vs Evil Dead” (read our review) for a second season.
Starz made it official today, giving fans not one, but two Halloween treats. Not only will Campbell return as Ash this coming Saturday, October 31st, but Sam Raimi and co. will return to produce a second season for

In the 10-episode “Ash vs Evil Dead”, “Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. Ash’s Value Stop co-workers are Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana Delorenzo), with the great Lucy Lawless appearing as Ruby.
Sam Raimi directed the “Ash vs Evil Dead” pilot that following the events of his The Evil Dead franchise, including Army of Darkness.
