Go First Person Into the World of H.P. Lovecraft With This Short Film

Published

on

We don’t usually post about short films as we get so many submissions that we simply don’t have the time to filter through for the best in terms of quality and content. But every once in a while, we stumble across something that is so fresh and unique that it absolutely warrants a post so that all of you can experience it for yourself.

Such is the case with Gearmark.TV’s Harbinger, a short film that is inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Directed by Alexander Crews, this short stands out because it’s entirely done in first person perspective, as though you, the viewer, are the protagonist of the story and a part of this world. Utilizing incredible sets and wonderful audio designs, the short is simply fantastic!

I can’t help when watching it but to imagine what it would be like if it were shot in 3D and then viewed through an Oculus Rift. I have a feeling it would be an absolutely incredible experience, one that would revolutionize watching movies entirely.

Below is the short as well as some behind-the-scenes photos!

I'm a huge Lovecraft fan.
