‘Southbound’ Trailer Opens the Ground to Hell

Many of you know that Brad is the producer on an upcoming anthology horror film by the name of Southbound, a film that reunites him with several directors and producers of the V/H/S trilogy. Ever since word of the film began spreading word, many of you have been asking for a trailer, something that we’ve also been extremely anxious for.

Well, today is the day that we get to deliver and I think you’re going to be very pleased with what you see! There’s a pervasively eerie tone throughout that highlights the stark locations, the Lynch-esque characters, and the haunting apparitions that we never quite see clearly. Also, make sure to watch it a few times, keeping a close “eye” out for all the little things that you might miss the first time through.

On a desolate stretch of road, weary travelers — two men on the run from their past, a band on their way to the next gig, a man struggling to get home, a brother in search of his long-lost sister and a family on vacation — are forced to confront their worst fears and darkest secrets in these interwoven tales of terror and remorse on the open road.

Southbound, set for release through The Orchard, includes stories directed by Roxanne Benjamin, David Bruckner, Patrick Horvath and Radio Silence, will be receive a limited theatrical run starting February 5th before heading to VOD on February 9th.

Looks like great fun. Good to see the shaky cam disappear, that idea is done.

You know it is if one of the best the genre has to offer, Cloverfield, has abandoned it in the sequel!

A good anthology is worth the time to investigate. So far, these people (for me) have hit the mark twice (VHS and VHS2) and utterly failed on a third (VHS Viral). If prior performance is an indication, there is a 66.6% chance I will like it.
Pity everything in life is a crap shoot, isn’t it?

Let’s hope it’s not as misogynistic as the terribly V/H/S series.

VHS 1 and 2 were very good. The third one was definitely a turd though.
