Check Out Sneak Preview of Upcoming ‘Halloween 6’ Michael Myers Figure

Published

on

Released in 1995, Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers is one of the most talked about films in the Halloween franchise, if only because of the infamous “Producer’s Cut” that floated around the convention scene before finally being released on Blu-ray a couple years back. It’s also the one that stars Paul Rudd, so, ya know. That’s kind of cool.

The film centered on the “Curse of Thorn,” which many fans feel was one of the final nails in the coffin of the entire series. The curse was conjured up as a way of explaining Michael Myers’ inability to die; a plotline done away with in subsequent installments, making Halloween 6 an oddball sequel with its own set of charms. Plus did I mention Paul Rudd?

Soon, the curse spreads to your toy shelf.

Collectibles company ThreeZero just announced an upcoming 1/6 scale Michael Myers figure based on Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, and they teased it with a poster-style image that gives us our first glimpse at the brand new figure. You may not be a fan of the film, or Myers’ look in it, but it’s always nice to see the shape getting some love in the toy world.

Check out the first teaser below!

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78

In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).

Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.

While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.

The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.

Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.

We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
