The fighting game gets yet another horror icon.
It’s been well over a year since the release of Mortal Kombat X and believe it or not, new content is still being added to the game pretty regularly. Recent DLC content has brought horror villains like Leatherface, Jason Voorhees, Predator, and a Xenomorph into the game, and we’re happy to report that a brand new pack has just added Freddy Krueger to the game’s mobile version.
The announcement of the “1.11 Update” was made on Twitter over the weekend by NetherRealm Studios. Of course, this isn’t the first time Freddy has appeared in the Mortal Kombat universe, as he was memorably put up for download in Mortal Kombat IX. And if a poll we conducted earlier this year was any indication, fans were hungry to have him back in Mortal Kombat X.
Yes, it’s remake Freddy, but we don’t think you’ll care once you start slashing!
In Mortal Kombat X:
Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with all new gameplay to deliver the most brutal Kombat experience ever. For the first time ever, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. And with a new fully-connected gameplay experience, players are launched into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.
