We’re heading back to the bayou.
Only time will tell if Victor Crowley plans on returning to the big screen for another gory bloodbath in the form of Hatchet 4, but while we wait for his potential return, we’re happy to report that the franchise is getting set to spawn its own comic book series. Well actually, we reported that exciting news just about a month ago, but today we’ve got something substantial to show off.
Courtesy of ArieScope and American Mythology, the Hatchet comic books will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original film’s release, and they’re set to tell a host of brand new Victor Crowley stories. Bleeding Cool got their hands on the various different covers for Issue #0, due out in March of 2017, which feature art from Andrew Mangum, Greg LaRocque, and Buz Hasson.
In the series:
Cursed to live out his terrifying last moments again and again, Crowley brutally murders anyone foolish enough to enter his swamp sanctuary. Filled with over the top gore, classic movie monster horror, and a boatload of black humor, this is the ultimate comic for fright fans!
The sites notes that there will also be an R-rated cover, but we don’t have that artwork yet.
