“Attack on Titan” Season 2 Trailer Reveals Huge Plot Twist!

Published

on

After a nearly three-year long wait, FUNimation is finally continuing the animated epic “Attack on Titan”, streaming on service like Hulu and Netflix.

In the show, “After his hometown is destroyed and his mother is killed, young Eren Jaegar vows to cleanse the earth of the giant humanoid Titans that have brought humanity to the brink of extinction.

A lot of was revealed in the inaugural season, but there were a ton of questions left unanswered.

As a perfectly timed holiday present, we now have the first trailer for Season Two, which is said to arrive in April of 2017. It shows an evolution to the Titans, which appear more monstrous than ever. One of the biggest reveals, however, is that we learn that many of the Titans are good and helping to stop the bad giants from total destruction.

“Attack on Titan” is more than just entertaining, it’s also socially relevant and has a lot to say about today’s society. After 25 episodes in Season One, it’ll be interesting to see if they can keep it interesting for 25 more (that’s a lot of television).

As for the newly indoctrinated, there’s also a two-part feature film that was released in 2015. Avoid it at all costs.

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78

In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).

Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.

While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.

The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.

Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.

We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
