Well, my whole weekend is planned.
As we told you last month, “Unsolved Mysteries” (aka the creepiest show ever) had been scooped up by FilmRise and would be hitting Amazon Streaming before the end of the year, and indeed that promise was fulfilled. But there was a bit of a catch. The episodes that went up last month were from the iteration of the show that was hosted by Dennis Farina, which aired on Spike TV from 2008 to 2010. Nice to see them available for digital streaming, but what about the original, Robert Stack-hosted episodes that we so fondly remember for giving us nightmares?!
The wait, we’re happy to report, is over.
Today, the first season of the original “Unsolved Mysteries” was put up for streaming through Amazon, and best of all, it’s FREE to watch if you’re a Prime member. Because Amazon loves you. At this time, 24 episodes of the show from the late ’80s can be watched at your convenience, and from what we understand, more Farina-hosted AND Stack-hosted episodes are coming soon.
The series used re-enactments and interviews to retell the circumstances of, well, mysteries that are unsolved. Covering crimes, tales of lost love, unexplained history and paranormal events.
