217 actors. 400 pages of script. 1 log lady.

David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” is returning to Showtime in just under two months, and we’re not at all surprised that we know virtually nothing about the bizarre series’ revival. But we hope to learn a bit more inside the pages of the March 31st issue of Entertainment Weekly, hitting newsstands soon. The mag will provide an exclusive first look, and oh boy do the covers make us smile.

Three different collector’s covers will be available, and they gather together all your favorite “Twin Peaks” actors. It’s no secret that nearly all the actors/characters from the original series will be returning for the revival, and the EW covers provide a sneak peek at those role reprisals. What do Audrey Horne and Dale Cooper look like 25 years later? Check ’em out below!

“Twin Peaks” will return on Sunday, May 21, at 9/8c, with a two-hour premiere. The new David Lynch-directed episodes are set 25 years after the events of the original series.

All told, the revival will consist of 18 hours. Immediately following the two-hour opener, Episodes 3 and 4 will be available On Demand and via Showtime’s streaming platform.

The surreal drama, which aired on ABC from 1990 to 1991, followed FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (to again be played by Kyle MacLachlan) as he investigated the curious murder of a homecoming queen in the sleepy town of Twin Peaks, Wash.

The revival’s cast list features the return of several actors from the original series (including Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Sheryl Lee and David Duchovny) plus a bunch of new faces (including Enlightened‘s Laura Dern,  Arrested Development‘s Michael Cera, The Thorn Birds‘ Richard Chamberlain, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr).

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

While you wait for Alien: Romulus, the folks over at Devilworks have cooked up their own slice of “mockbuster” fun with Alien Hunt, and we’re debuting the trailer here on BD this morning.

This brand-new sci-fi horror from director Aaron Mirtes (The Bigfoot Trap, Painted in Blood) is set for its US premiere on May 14, and you can find it on digital thanks to Devilworks.

You can exclusively watch the official trailer for Alien Hunt below, which looks to combine elements of Alien and Predator. This particular “mockbuster” has very little interest in hiding its inspirations, with the alien designs plucked straight out of H.R. Giger’s beautiful brain. Hey, if you’re going to pull from other movies, might as well take from the all-time greats!

In Alien Hunt, “On a hunting trip in the wilderness, a group of siblings discovers an abandoned military outpost on their land, but is it what it seems?

“Their trip takes a sinister turn when they find themselves facing off against a relentless army of extra-terrestrial beings. Suddenly, the hunters become the hunted.

“The formidable squad of alien soldiers will stop at nothing to wipe out the enemy and in an all-out, brutal battle for survival, it’s kill or be killed in Alien Hunt.”

Barron Boedecker (Escape Pod, The Bigfoot Trap), Brent Bentley (The Perfect In-Laws, Haunt Season), Deiondre Teagle (The Visitor, Painted in Blood, Death Ranch), Chelsey Fuller (The Bigfoot Trap, The Silent Natural), Jesse Santoyo (A Nashville Country Christmas, Potter’s Ground), and Adam Pietripaoli (The Bigfoot Trap, The OctoGames) star.
