We don’t yet have a trailer, though we expect one really soon, but what we do have is the very first batch of stills from the brand new episodes!

The images come courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and they show original stars Mädchen Amick, Peggy Lipton, David Duchovny, David Lynch, Miguel Ferrer, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz and Michael Horse in character for the first time in 25 years. So if you’ve missed characters like Denise Bryson, Albert Rosenfield and Deputy Andy, these are sure to make you smile.

Check ’em out below. See and learn more over on EW.

“Twin Peaks” will return on Sunday, May 21, at 9/8c, with a two-hour premiere. The new David Lynch-directed episodes are set 25 years after the events of the original series.

All told, the revival will consist of 18 hours. Immediately following the two-hour opener, Episodes 3 and 4 will be available On Demand and via Showtime’s streaming platform.

The surreal drama, which aired on ABC from 1990 to 1991, followed FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (to again be played by Kyle MacLachlan) as he investigated the curious murder of a homecoming queen in the sleepy town of Twin Peaks, Wash.

The revival’s cast list features the return of several actors from the original series (including Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Sheryl Lee and David Duchovny) plus a bunch of new faces (including Enlightened‘s Laura Dern,  Arrested Development‘s Michael Cera, The Thorn Birds‘ Richard Chamberlain, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr).

really? awesome! i’m going to start season 1 tonight! just 1 question, do we learn who killed Laura Palmer(?) in season 1 or is it not revealed until season 2?

        • Bleenx

          Second season.

          • J Jett

            thanx Bleenx!

        • nowaygetreal

Just know that after Laura’s killer is revealed, the show takes a strange and slowww turn for about 5-6 episodes before REALLY picking up again for the last few episodes.

            thanx nowaygetreal!

Yes, Laura was raped and killed by her father Leland who was possessed by the spirit of BOB, the long, grey haired evil demon spirit.

Why the fuck would you say that to a person who’s just about to start the series? That’s just mean

          • Prince Of Darkness

Because he is one of those posters who pitches a hissy fit and attacks other people simply for not liking something that he likes. He called me all kinds of names last week simply because I said Stranger Things didn’t live up to the hype.

          • That’s harsh stuff, there.

          • qwef

Would bloody disgusting mods consider banning people who vindictively spoil stuff for others in the comments?

What is this middle school? Just cause you disagree with someone about something you go after them with spoilers? The fuck is wrong with you?

Effeminate male BD poster logic – Call other posters every name in the book because they didn’t like something you do, but cry like a little baby and cry victim when they spoil the plot of an over 20 year old tv show.

          • Jerad Wisdom

It isn’t “effeminate male logic” to be understandably upset when an angry twerp ruins a show you’ve already expressed an interest in watching.

          • Prince Of Darkness

Simple logic – Guy walks into a room and walks up to someone who says something he doesn’t like and punches him in the face . Guy gets up and beats the living piss out of the guy who hit him. Moral is don’t hit someone if you cant take it.
Effeminate male logic – Effeminate guy walks into room, walks up to guy and hits him in the face for saying something he didn’t like. Guy gets up and beats the piss out of effeminate guy who hit him. Other effeminate males crowd around beaten effeminate guy and have pity party for him and call the guy he hit a bully and a horrible person. Scream through tear stained eyes that just because he hit you is no reason to beat him up. Moral is, effeminate guys are fucking nuts.

Oh ok that makes sense if true

          • Creepshow

Toughen up dude. And please stop acting like a Man-Baby.

Have you ever watched any of David Lynch’s other films? If you have, what did you think of them? I only ask because Lynch is very much an acquired taste, so if you haven’t experienced his work before you may find it off-putting. If, however, you want to take the plunge then Twin Peaks is your jam. That, or Blue Velvet.

Edit: Do you like these scenes? If you do, you’ll love Twin Peaks!

Norma and Nadine haven’t aged at all

    • Worst Case Ontario

Oh yes they have. Like a goddamned fine wine or scotch they have. Hot damn.

  • Jada Maes

I’m so happy so many actors are coming back… But goddammit, seeing Miguel Ferrer punched me right in the feels.

  • Fracassi

I want to see white-haired Michael Horse in everything now. He looks badass!

  • Fracassi

Looks like David Duchovny’s character is no longer just a transvestite. Good for her.

    My body is ready

  • Prince Of Darkness

I read that Sheryl Lee has been sick and fallen on hard times. She had to sell all of her TP memorabilia and lives with friends. Hopefully this help get her back on her feet. Albert’s insults were classic though: To Coop in reference to Truman – “Oh look! You taught it to speak!” In reference to an elderly man – “Senior Droolcup” . Funny thing though, after watching TP, every cup of coffee becomes a damn fine cuppa joe.
