As virtual reality takes over the world, VR experiences based on massive pop culture properties are becoming more and more common. And that’s awesome for fans like ourselves, because we’re going to be able to literally enter fictional worlds like never before. An Alien: Covenant VR experience was launched today, and “The Walking Dead” is getting the same treatment soon!
Variety reports that the AMC series’ executive producer David Alpert let them know at the VRTL Summit in Los Angeles today that Skybound has begun work on a virtual reality experience set within the world of “The Walking Dead.” He “declined to share further details” at this time.
“If you can make people sick, that’s actually a powerful tool in your arsenal,” said Alpert, noting that his first VR experience caused nausea – something the show tries to impart on its viewers.
