Get a taste of the dark side.
In celebration of National Tequila Day, Patron has just announced an extremely limited collaboration with filmmaker Guillermo del Toro that’ll have you tasting the dark side. The blend of rare extra añejo tequila and aged orange liqueur is described as the first of its kind, and the deluxe package was inspired by art and rituals of Jalisco, Mexico.
Patrón x Guillermo del Toro is a meeting of two masters; one of dark films and one of tequila. An altar to the ritual of drinking tequila, this limited-edition product features a skull and skeleton shaped bottle housed in a box intricately illustrated with dark images that reflect Guillermo del Toro’s take on Mexican culture.
Nestled into the deep red interior, the bottle contains 750 ml of blended extra añejo tequila and 100 ml aged orange liqueur.
Deeply aged and blended to create a supremely dark tequila, Patrón x Guillermo del Toro is perfect in a darker version of classic cocktails or sipped neat. Combined with the aged orange liqueur, this tequila comes out of the darkness in signature cocktails such as the citrusy Sacrifice or the perfectly blended The Perfect Ratio.
The cost? $475, and you can pre-order a bottle today through Reserve Bar. Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis until inventory has sold out.
Orders will be available for shipping on or about September 1st.
