It’s certainly been a while, but Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few is finally getting that release date. The game is being published by Gearbox Publishing, and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 13th, 2018. As a result, the game will see more additions to the base game, including new quests, locations, weapons, and a new price point ($60 USD from the original $30).
To offset the increased price point, Compulsion Games is offering a 15% reduction if you pre-order the game, which will also come with a new weapon &emdash; the “Jolly Brolly” parasol. PS4 owners will also receive an exclusive dynamic theme, while Xbox One, Steam, and GOG customers get the alpha version of the game with the latest “Life In Technicolour” update.
If you were absolutely sold on the dystopian thriller from the get-go, you can nab the Deluxe Edition, which includes the DLC Season Pass consisting of three additional pieces of content that will be released as they become available. Finally, you can also order the Collector’s Set for $149.99, which includes a separate box set that contains an Uncle Jack Alarm Clock, a replica Bobby mask, a “You Look Smashing” 3-Tiered Lamp, the game’s soundtrack on vinyl, a game handbook, stickers, and propaganda posters.
