We can’t be sure about the future of The Dark Tower as a big screen franchise, nor do we know if that planned TV series is still in the cards. After all, this year’s film didn’t make much of a mark at the box office, even in a year dominated by Stephen King adaptations.
But what about The Dark Tower as a novel series? King has to date penned eight books in the series, most recently The Wind Through the Keyhole back in 2012.
And he’s not done yet. Because King, well, he never stops writing.
During a Sleeping Beauties book tour over the weekend, one fan asked King about the future of The Dark Tower; specifically, he asked King if there’s any chance there’ll be one more Dark Tower book before he hangs it up.
“Yes, I think that might happen,” King responded.
And the crowd went wild.
