Dark Horse Brings ‘Bufffy’ Fans Yet Another Spin-Off With This 4 Page ‘Riley’ Preview

While I was never a huge fan of ‘RILEY’ back in the day (actually I hated the character) I do understand the significance of the character as well as the purpose behind the folks at Dark Horse releasing the latest spin-off of Whedon’s masterpiece. Though not a full ‘monthly spin-off’ like “SPIKE” or “ANGEL”, “RILEY” will prove to be a pivotal storyline to fill in some gaps for Buffy fans everywhere. Beyond the break you can check out the full 3 page preview before it goes on sale August 18th. Read on for the skinny.

WRITTEN BY: Jane Espenson
ILLUSTRATIONS BY: Karl Moline
INKS BY: Andy Owens
COLORS BY: Michelle Madsen
COVER ART BY: Karl Moline and Jo Chen

“In the midst of the battle, Buffy’s former flame, the demon fighting soldier Riley Finn, seemingly in league with Twilight, was revealed as a double agent working for the Slayer army. Now Espenson and artist Karl Moline (Fray, Willow) uncover the secrets of Riley’s recruitment by Buffy, his infiltration of Twilight’s inner circle, and what’s become of him and his superspy wife, Sam.”

“BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: RILEY” Drops August 18th From Dark Horse Comics! (MSRP-$3.99)
