TV: Shakespeare In Love With “American Horror Story”

Joseph Fiennes 61212 TV: Shakespeare In Love With American Horror Story

“American Horror Story” is adding Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare In Love) to its new hospital ward. Per EW, “The final major piece of casting for the second season of FX’s thriller American Horror Story is falling into place. Joseph Fiennes is in negotiations to appear as a regular on AHS season 2. The actor would play the head of the institution for the criminally insane where star Jessica Lange works, and will also be the object of her attraction; the pair have a May/December romance. Not much else is known about his character but we’re told he’s “tortured” — not surprising given the dark world of AHS.

We already knew that Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Adam Levine, Lizzie Brochere, Chloe Sevigny and James Cromwell has all been locked in, with the returning cast playing new roles. And Murphy had also disclosed that the season would be “set in an institution for the criminally insane.

Murphy has been talking a lot about how this season will be different from the last. He previously stated “I don’t want to say what Zach and Lily are doing, or what anybody else is doing, until we get closer to [fall]. But I’ll continue to say that everybody is playing the opposite of what they played last year, which I think is why they’re all so into it. Like, I have talked to Zach and Jessica and they were very excited… and that’s a rare thing.READ MORE
