[Interview] Billy Martin and Brent Scheitlin Talk Vampire Vigilantism In ‘Vitriol The Hunter’

Billy Martin and Brent Scheitlin are the two minds behind IDW’s latest futuristic vampire series, Vitriol The Hunter. You may know Billy Martin as Good Charlotte’s guitarist, but he’s recently turned toward his other passion, writing and illustrating comics. Martin and co-writer Brent Scheitlin are telling a gothic sci-fi tale set in the fictional city of Basilika in 2127. “Vitriol” follows the journey of the titular character as he stands against the evil Lord Barthus and his vampire gang.

“Vitriol” was initially set for release in 2010, but due to a relentless touring schedule, Martin had to put the book on hold. Here we are three years later and issue #2 is about to hit the stands on March 27th, 2013. Richmond, VA rockers Conditions are featured in the upcoming AP/Hot Topic Mini Mag, available on a countertop at your nearest Hot Topic beginning September 7th! A brand new track, ‘When It Won’t Save You’ is included on the Mini Mag sampler. The track is cut from Conditions upcoming GOOD FIGHT MUSIC debut, Fluorescent Youth, which hits stores on September 14th, 2010! Conditions have teamed up with Hot Topic to bring Fluorescent Youth to all store listening stations, and offer fans a special Hot Topic sale pricing beginning on the day of release.
