If you’ve ever wondered what a zombiefied Iron Man would look like then wonder no more. Someone has actually created a zombie Iron Man cosplay, and it’s easily a runner up for most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen great Iron Man cosplay, some talented folks have even gone so far as to create a (mostly) functional suit with LED lights and that badass visor that drops over the face. That’s great and all, but this gets bonus points for including zombies — because everyone knows zombies make everything better. Check him out after the break.
Alas, Marvel has finally revealed Ben Kingsley as Mandarin in the latest character poster for Iron Man 3. They clearly went with the early look of Mandarin, not the suited up version we saw in Matt Fraction’s most recent run. Of course he’s got some modern accessories, and some dragon-embroidered camouflage pants. Check it out!
Marvel announced that they will be releasing a new direct-to-DVD film to star the Punisher and Black Widow. Jeph Loeb recently revealed on a podcast that Marvel has 15 animated projects in various stages of development, which will be announced shortly.. READ MORE
After the announcement that James Gunn would be directing the upcoming Marvel adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy, the news-front for the film was on the quiet. According to ComicBook.com, Marvel is keen on bringing Robert Downey Jr. into the film in his Tony Stark/Iron Man role. Interestingly, Downey’s contract is done with Marvel Studios after Iron Man 3, meaning he would have to sign a new contract. With the success of the Iron Man franchise and The Avengers, it seems likely Downey Jr. will be on board to sign a contract, but that doesn’t guarantee him a role in Guardians of the Galaxy. A massive Iron Man 3 spoiler has made its way online via Latino Review who reveals that Tony Stark may have something special on his “mind”.
Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., has shown off quite a few different Iron Man armors between Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and The Avengers, now he’s (SPOILER) skipping ahead… by XXXIX generations.
The Iron Man 3 footage at the San Diego Comic-Con showed that Stark could summon the new armor piece-by-piece. It’s been revealed that this armor is to help Stark in battle against the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) by creating drones to fight side-by-side!
Says Latino Review: “The Extremis-enhanced bad guys under direction of Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin villain are going to be too much for Tony to handle on his own, so he thinks ahead, thinks big and has a plan. Tony’s about to go out and fight some bad guys when he mentions the Mark XLVII to Pepper Potts. Pepper asks what happened to the other forty and Tony just smiles.
From the cockpit of Mark XLVII Tony is able to control multiple armors in battle. We over here at LR have been vaguely aware of an action scene where Tony was going to control multiple Iron Man suits (presumably they look similar to distract his enemies as to the location of kill-able Iron Man Prime), but the number 40 seems…awesome. 40 Iron Men.”
The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, and Guy Pearce.
Iron Man 3 opens May 3, 2013. READ MORE
Okay William Shatner, I gave you the benefit of the doubt with Iron Man, but now watching you do vocals, this has got to be some cosmic joke, right? Not only are you singing out of tune but whoever did your video can’t even spell “album” right? What the hell is an “ablum”?
William Shatner, to some, is a man who can do no wrong. From Star Trek to Priceline to Airplane II to Twilight Zone, Shatner has become less of an actor and more of a cultural icon. Now, the icon wants to enter the music scene by putting out a 2-disc album called Seeking Major Tom consisting of covers and one original. After the jump, you can hear Captain Kirk do his rendition of Black Sabbath‘s classic track Iron Man, which features Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) on guitars. Also after the jump is the full track list of Shatner’s Seeking Major Tom.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that 2012 could possibly be the most lucrative box office season that film companies have seen in the better part of a decade. Looking up and down the list of films hitting theaters next year, you also start to see just how dependent production companies have gotten on the “Nerd Dime”. That said, beyond the break you can check out the official teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s (“BATMAN BEGINS”, “THE DARK KNIGHT”) “THE DARK KNIGHT RISES”, and a bootleg recording of the “AVENGERS” trailer which will be making its debut after the credits of this weekends’ “CAPTAIN AMERICA”. In the latest issue of Marvel’s “FEAR ITSELF”, Bucky was dealt a possibly fatal blow by Sin, and one that was just as much a call to arms for the entire Uni as we will likely see. That being said it should come as no surprise that Steve Rodgers, Bucky’s closest friend, has now joined the war and lifted the shield once again. Couple that with the return of Thor from Asgard, and it looks as if the war will only be heating up in the coming months. Beyond the break you can check out a 4 page (UNLETTERED) preview of the series’ fourth ish and get all the details! Read on for the skinny…
