Filmmaker Steve Balderson’s vhas just one question – But those three small words, 60 seconds of tape, and a cast of porn stars, punk rockers and pop culture psychos spouting some of the most prophetic and profane possibilities imaginable converge to address an immortal paradox – What is sexy?
The pic follows a young girl from a wealthy Malibu family who fell under Manson’s spell. She was not one the “Family” members involved in the clan’s infamous murder spree, but Pitman was later imprisoned after she became involved with the Aryan Brotherhood and was convicted of being an accessory (after the fact) to murder.
You guys all know who Penn Jillette is. The world famous magician, actor and writer needs no introduction (even though I just gave him one). And, since you’re reading this site, you probably know about Adam Rifkin as well. He wrote and directed the great “Wadzilla” segment of Chillerama as well as Look (not to mention penning Small Soldiers for Joe Dante).
Now they’re coming together to give you Director’s Cut, which looks like it’s primed to be one of the more interesting horror/comedy/thrillers in a long time. In order to retain control over their singular vision, they’re going the crowdfunding route with this (it goes live on Fund Anything tomorrow).
I know some people have different opinions regarding this approach to financing. I urge you to put all of that aside for a moment and watch this clip (a BD exclusive for the day) – it’s easily one of the best pitch videos for a crowdfunding project that I’ve seen! You’ll get an idea of the tonal shift about 2 minutes in… READ MORE
A movie we’ve been covering exclusively on Bloody for almost a year now has finally gone behind cameras.
Manson Girls, focusing on the female followers of cult leader Charles Manson, has quietly started production nearly a year after the project was announced.
Susanna Lo is producing via her Slomotion Studios and directing from her own script, with Taryn Manning (pictured), Tania Raymonde, Monica Keena, Stella Maeve, Estella Warren, Chad Faust, Ron Jeremy, Eric Balfour, and Bill Moseley all starring, as previously reported in various stories here on Bloody.
Manson Girls focuses on the period leading up to the 1969 murders of nine people. Manson and three followers were convicted in 1971 in the slayings. Lo told Variety that she’s aiming to illustrate how and why the girls came under Manson’s command.
“The girls were all very talented but it was a very seductive time,” she said. “We really don’t want to sensationalize the story any further than it already has been. I’ve always been fascinated by how the girls came under the spell of this strange, manipulative man.”

In a darkly comic homage to ALIEN and THE THING, the cast and crew of an adult film, stranded in a blizzard, must band together against a mysterious and deadly alien, which has possessed the actor with the biggest part—Ron Jeremy (naturally). Now, with the monster on a killing spree, the race is on to trap and destroy it before there are more victims of its peculiar skills.
When a group of cheerleaders on their way to a competition get into a car accident, they are forced to venture deep into the isolated backwoods of Florida to find help. They soon discover that they are not alone: two escaped convicts on a desperate bid for freedom take the young girls hostage in an old abandoned hunting lodge and have a tense stand-off with local law enforcement. Things really start to fall to pieces when legendary kille Andre the Butcher – named for his occupation in his former life – hones in on his prey. Now, The Butcher has two new jobs: harvesting souls for hell and devouring the human remains of his victims. Whether cheerleaders, convicts or law enforcers, they all taste the same to him!
A coven of witches mask their true identity by operating the “Sin and Skin” strip club in, “The Witch’s Sabbath”. To keep the coven as one, they must behead 666 victims before the arrival of their Dark Lord on Halloween. Unsuspecting victims are carefully chosen at the strip club and find themselves invited to feast at the witch’s mansion where they offer their victims one final meal.
But this time things will not go quite as planned and their dinner guests will prove to be more than just victims.
