Director Haunts WWII Tale ‘The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death’

BAFTA-nominated Tom Harper *The Scouting Book for Boys, Misfits) will direct The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death, the sequel to horror smash The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe, that was adapted from a Susan Hill story. The plot revolves around Eel Marsh House four decades after original, reports Screen Daily.

A few weeks ago Hammer revealed the official plot for The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death and now Hammer CEO Simon Oakes is hinting that Radcliffe might return.

Oakes attended a special screening of the first film recently and spoke of the Harry Potter star’s potential involvement. Per Bleeding Cool, “ It would be a small role, by the sound of things. Plainly put, Oakes wouldn’t deny it, went as far as saying Radcliffe “might” appear.” Those who have seen the first film will have a pretty good idea of what capacity he might return in.

In light of The Quiet Ones starting production, Hammer (formerly Hammer Films) has revealed the official plot for The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death, their sequel to the UK smash hit The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe, that was adapted from a Susan Hill story.

It looks as if the sequel will once again be a period piece. This is one to be excited for as I’m one of the very few who didn’t enjoy the first.

The team behind British horror hit The Woman In Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe, are re-uniting to produce a follow-up, reports THR.

The revamped legendary British production label Hammer, Alliance Films and Cross Creek Pictures are to team up with novelist Susan Hill on the proposed story that will pick the tale up 40 years on.

The Woman in Black, directed by James Watkins has become the highest grossing British horror film of the past 20 years, grossing over $33 million in the U.K. and recently crossing the $120 million box office mark worldwide.

Screenwriter Jon Croker (Desert Dancer) is now developing the screenplay for the sequel, The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death, based on an original story by Hill, under development for the past few years and now complete.
