This week’s edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week is all about creating atmosphere and taking advantage of beautifully crafted shots instead of blistering camera cuts and violent events. So, below, you can watch The Gravedigger’s Song from the Mark Lanegan Band. There are some truly captivating images, including a blossoming rose with teeth in the middle (a subtle hint as to the ferociousness of women possibly?), creepy interior design (a lá Evil Dead 2), and much more. It’s Friday, so you know what that means! It’s time for another edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week! For this week’s selection, we’re turning to Orphic Oxtra‘s Skeletons Having Sex On A Tin Roof. Now, it’s not necessarily a twisted video, but if you don’t ask yourself, “What the hell is going on?” at least once, then you are a crazier person than myself.

The two top YouTube comments on this video pretty much sum up the mood perfectly: “I’ve hit the weird part of youtube again.” and “I made sure to link this to somebody so I don’t die in seven days.
Check out the weirdness below!

This Twisted Music Video Of The Week is all thanks to my 80′s nostalgia rearing its ugly head. For some reason, I’ve been itching to watch Killer Klowns From Outer Space again. However, watching it on my own just doesn’t seem right. I need to expose its cheestastic brilliance to a new pair of eyes. But to give myself a quick fix, I’ve decided that the theme song Killer Klowns, written by The Dickies, needs to be given some love. So join me below for some 80′s rock goodness!

On this edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week, we show Dirge515‘s suggestion of David Firth’s animated video for Aphex Twin‘s Milkman. Definitely not for the light-hearted, this animation features loads of violence and gore with a healthy dose of necrophilia. Check it out below.

David Firth is well known for his Internet animated series Salad Fingers. You can check out his website here.

We’re gonna go back to Pearl Jam‘s 1998 album Yield for this edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week by showcasing their video for Do The Evolution! Co-directed by Todd McFarlane (Spawn), the video shows many horrors throughout evolution and couples it with intense, often violent, images. Actually, many of the images always reminded me of Pink Floyd‘s The Wall as well as Heavy Metal. Check it out below and enjoy!

On this edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week, we’re going a bit more mellow with the music while still keeping some weird, creepy images. After the massive viral succes of the Walk Off The Earth cover of Gotye‘s Somebody I Used To Know, I started checking out more Gotye stuff on YouTube. Coming across this video for Hearts A Mess, I knew that I had to share it with you readers. The song comes from his 2006 album Like Drawing Blood. The music is very atmospheric and the video suits the emotions and mood perfectly, telling the story of a ragtag group of odd robotic creatures who decide to leave Earth for a better place. Enjoy the video below and make sure to leave a suggestion for next week! READ MORE

Now just work on keeping your food in your stomach. I’m gonna go outside and get a few deep breaths.  In…out…in…out…remember the lamaze technique….

This edition of the Twisted Video Of The Week is brought to you by Russian band ANJ and their over-the-top love of Mikhail Gorbachev. This video is a few years old, but it’s still as ridiculous and insane as the day that I first saw it. Full of large-breasted women, zombie Stalins, and a Gorbachev that would rival Conan for barbarian buffness, this video should have you either scratching your head or laughing aloud. Hopefully both. Check it out below and let me know what you’d like to see next week! READ MORE

If you are anything like me, the above video probably tugs at your heart strings in who knows how many ways. Appearing on the VHS of Tim Burton’s Batman, the commercial was something I never skipped over, regardless of the fact that I’d seen it countless times. So, you might be asking what does this have to do with the Twisted Video Of The Week? Well, the answer lies in a single word: Prince. Below, you can watch Prince rock out Partyman, which has the artist dressed up like Joker but with makeup that almost represents Two Face. It’s a total throwback to one of my absolute favorite childhood movies.

Time for another Twisted Video Of The Week! This week brings us Health‘s We Are Water, which is directed by Eric Wareheim of Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! fame. I watched this video a couple of times and started asking questions like “Why is this guy wearing a wig?” or “What kind of situation was he in?” To say that I started getting creeped out doesn’t even begin to describe it. There is some twisted stuff going on here.

For this week’s edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week we’re bring back a classic that shocked and entertained you BD Music readers endlessly. Yup, I’m talking about the classic Cephalic Carnage video for Ohrwurm! To say that video was a hit is a total understatement. You readers ate it up, spit it out, made your friend eat it, punched them in the stomach so they’d spit it back up, and then you shared it with your grandmother.

For those of you who haven’t seen the video…well, I don’t envy you. Let me know what you think of the video and make sure to leave a comment with your suggestion for next week’s edition of Twisted Music Video Of The Week!

This week’s Twisted Music Video Of The Week brings us something a little more mellow musically but just as weird visually: Boards Of Canada‘s Everything You Do Is A Balloon. The video uses clips from the 1963 bicycle safety film, One Got Fat (which you can download here), and shows several children, all wearing ape masks, dying one by one as they ride their bikes. It counts down much the same way that Ten Little Indians does.

Check it out after the jump and make sure to leave a comment with what video you think should be up here for next week!

Especially when those visuals are twisted, disturbing, and, in general, completely f*cked up! That’s why I want to get a new series going here where YOU, the reader, gets to choose what is going to be next week’s video. All you have to do is leave a comment with your suggestion and one lucky user will get his video chosen!
I’m going to kick off the series with one of my favorite Meshuggah tracks, Bleed. Watch the video below and you’ll know why I picked it.
