Funko Finally Made ‘Mortal Kombat’ POP! Toys and They’re Amazing

Sorry, Baraka fans. He didn’t make the cut.

The characters from Mortal Kombat have most definitely become pop culture icons since they burst onto the scene (and ripped out spines) in October of 1992, so we knew it was only a matter of time before the franchise made its way into Funko’s POP! vinyl toy line.

After all, anyone who’s anyone has their own POP! toy these days.

The first series of Mortal Kombat toys features Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Kitana and Raiden. There’s also a Sub-Zero chase variant, a 1-in-6 rarity.

As always, a few store exclusives are also part of the mix.

Flaming Skull Scorpion will be found at Hot Topic, while Game Stop is getting a super-sized 6″ toy of Goro as well as a Scorpion & Sub-Zero variant two-pack.

Look for them all in November.

  • NetherRealm Studios is alternating between making Mortal Kombat games and Injustice games. The Mortal Kombat reboot was released in 2011, Injustice: Gods Among Us came out in 2013, Mortal Kombat X was in 2015, and Injustice 2 was in 2017.

If they keep up with this pattern, the next Mortal Kombat video game will be released in 2019.

  • Groovy! I dunno about that two pack, though. If they wanted to go for battle damage, they should’ve gone for fatalities in POP form. Anyhoo, here’s something for MK fans that I’ve been working on recently (shameless plug):

  • Jess Cobb

Looks to me like the double pack, are both sub zero! Scorpion should be yellow

    • Cure4Humanity

He’s been frozen by Sub Zero…just like Sub is on fire because of Scorpion.

  • ShadowInc

I thought that was a Ghost Rider funko for a sec.

  • zombie84_41

  • AdamX
