How are Friday and Saturday both the 28th of October? That’s a LOONNNG day! 🙂

    • Terrorize Children.

      Leap year.

  • The chicken man

I live for this time of year. I watch horror all year round, but it’s so much more exciting and fulfilling in October. 🙂

    • Russell McKenzie

Same here. I love October and Halloween. Best time of the year IMO.

  • Jack Thompson

So the same stuff they play every year?

    Okay.

  • Wil McMullen

Dammit!!!! Why the Excorcist II:The Heretic?!?

    • Saturn

      Um, because it’s awesome!

      Nurse, where’s my pills???

Of course I jest – Exorcist 2 is piss poor – but, call me insane, whenever I watch it I have a good time due to how awesomely brilliantly crap it is.
Although every time I feel dirty…..

I would of skipped on the Leprechaun films and put the poltergeist films in there instead. Or more Freddy films and Friday the 13th films. I’m surprised the pet sematary movies aren’t being shown or more stephen king films.

  • Dead2009

They should of devoted the last few weeks of September and the first week or so of October to the Talking Dead then jumped into Fearfest. I have a feeling Fearfest will die off in a few years because AMC will have an entire month of nothing but Walking Dead stuff to air.

  • Forca84

A few decent choices. I miss having a DVR. I’ll try to catch some shows live.

  • Joe Smith

AMC can kiss horror fans assess! A week? Wow, what a treat! They have to play the entire Walking Dead series AGAIN so that ruins Fear Fest! SYFY is all month long, support them.

  • Chris Farmer

Point of showing Halloween out of order is?

  • Adam Westly De

Anyone into the original horror films support SYFY.. They are running a whole month long.. I’ll be watching SYFY this year..

  • Adam Westly De

I’ve watched Fear Fest for many years.. 2012, and 2013 were good years, but they keep shortening in favor of TWD.. I agree about some people saying they should view Poltergeist too.. They don’t want to listen to their horror movie fans, so what you do is not watch them.. I won’t be supporting AMC this year as long as they keep the current one week line up.. I’ll be supporting SYFY channel this year… I suggest other people do as well.. So far there schedule looks alot better, and it looks like they are still updating it..

Goddamn, I remember when Fearfest ran almost the entire month. Only a week this year? Fucking wow. And the lineup is extremely disappointing. Like someone else said, maybe another few years and AMC will do away with Fearfest, it’s dwindling each year. Used to look forward to it, now it’s not even worth my time. Think I’ll be supporting Syfy this year which I’ve never done.

    • Russell McKenzie

SyFy has a much better lineup. I never thought I would actually bother again with that channel but it looks like it’ll be the one to get my horror fix for the month.

      • gabriel

But they stretch a 90 minute movie into an all evening 2 and a half hour event because of all their damn commercials

        • SupernaturalCat

While there’s not much SyFy plays that we’d even bother with–much like the Chiller channel, which, if you can believe it, is even worse with commercials than SyFy! ha …we DVR movies so we can fast forward through the endless adverts. Every now and again they’ll run something we’ve never seen, but by reading the synopsis, sounds like it may be worth a shot, so I’ll record it, then delete it out, or throw in the towel before we even finish it, if it’s that’s bad (say, Children of the Corn sequels, ha)

TCM (Turner Classics) is our go-to channel throughout October for old horror flicks. No commercials or censorship! Aside from the early 20th century classics, they typically run a lot of ’60s and ’70s Hammer and Amicus productions…fun stuff!

  • Russell McKenzie

Wow AMC. Why even bother then? I remember when they used to show horror flicks all October and at work we would just leave it on Fear Fest all day whether anyone else liked it or not. Frankly tired of TWD and anything else related to it at this point.

  • Chasity Williams

My kids & I used to always watch amc fear fest every year for the whole month of October since 2005 I believe is when we started maybe even before that. although I’m a huge twd fan, I will miss the fear fest for sure but on the other hand I can’t wait to see the new season of twd!!

  • 0Father0Satan0Sun

What’s the point airing these sequels before the first & original movie start is just dumb. If I were an employee for the cable company, I would air the original film first before the rest.

  • Brooke Craig

So disappointed in the movie list yet AGAIN this year amc! Wtf is with playing the Michael Myers Halloween movies over and over and over and over and over again!? At least play them early in the am when most people are sleeping because we’ve all seen them a million times now. And where is SILVER BULLET?? Where is CUJO, where is SLEEP WALKERS, GRAVEYARD SHIFT, where is Jeepers Creepers, or An American Werewolf in Paris?? Movies that are actually good and that I look forward to this time of year. Chucky is alright, Dawn of the Dead is good but gdi seriously there are so many good ones you couldve put on the list but decided “um yea lets just re-run the shit out of the Michael Myers Halloween movies fuck the cable payers”. I pay for the amc channel and I’m not sure why I bother. #2017fearfestsucks
