“Fear the Walking Dead” Gets April Return Date

Published

AMC’s “The Walking Dead” returns for the second half of its eighth season on Sunday, February 25 at 9/8c, but what about spinoff series “Fear the Walking Dead”?

We’ve learned that the fourth season of “Fear” will arrive on Sunday, April 15 at 10/9c.

“In Season 4, we will see the world of Madison Clark and her family through new eyes — the eyes of Morgan Jones, joining the story from the world of “The Walking Dead.” The characters’ immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes, and threats. They fight for each other, against each other, and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven – all crashing together towards a new reality.”

Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo and Danay Garcia are all back for “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 4.

Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, Maggie Grace and Kevin Zegers all join the cast this year, along with “The Walking Dead” star Lennie James as Morgan Jones.

Season 4 marks the departure of original showrunner Dave Erickson, with Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg (“Once Upon a Time”) filling in, alongside Scott M. Gimple.

Watch the Bloody ‘Scooby-Doo’ Sketch Starring Jake Gyllenhaal from ‘Saturday Night Live’

Published

on

Jake Gyllenhaal hosted “Saturday Night Live” last night and the show’s most memorable sketch saw Gyllenhaal playing an iconic pop culture character: Fred from “Scooby-Doo.”

It was titled “Scooby-Doo and the Mystery of the Shadow Phantom,” with Gyllenhaal starring alongside musical guest Sabrina Carpenter as well as “SNL” cast members Sarah Sherman, Mikey Day, and Andrew Dismukes. While it starts like a traditional “Scooby” adventure, with the gang unmasking a mystery, it soon turns into a rated “R” bloodbath.

After Fred reveals the Phantom to be Old Man Franklin, he takes things a step too far and literally rips Old Man Franklin’s face clean off. From there, the Mystery Inc. gang is dispatched in increasingly gruesome ways, while Scoob chows down on the Old Man’s face.

The gore effects are largely digital, but we’ll let it slide.
