[Trailer] First Look at Overkill’s “The Walking Dead” Video Game!

Washington is about to fall.

Video game developer Overkill had been teasing a big reveal to tie in with last night’s mid-season finale of “The Walking Dead,” and they delivered just that with the very first trailer for Overkill’s The Walking Dead, a new game set to arrive next year.

The game, coming in Fall 2018, will expand upon “The Walking Dead” Universe by introducing brand new characters, tasked with fighting for their lives among the undead.

“OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.”

Meet Aidan in the first official trailer below.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will sink its teeth into Steam, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Damn! F**king video games are becoming sicker and sicker! This looks really good compared to the other ‘Walking Dead’ games that are currently out there. Actually that’s really surprising considering the popularity of the show and all the other things they have their hands in marketing wise, that real ‘Call of Duty’ type of video game. I know plenty of hardcore gamers and they ALL tell me that all the games that have come out with that name attached have been absolute shit, and are eagerly waiting for that real good one to drop.

Hopefully this will be more involved with game play than a drawn out walking simulator soap opera story.
