For me, one of the most iconic opening sequences in the history of television is HBO’s “Tales From the Crypt.”
The lengthy opening takes viewers on a first-person tour of the Cryptkeeper’s haunted mansion before being jolted with a great jump-scare.
Now, thanks to Benabdallah Adel and Penoit Damien, with FX help from Omar Meradi and Toufik Mekbel, you can enjoy said opening sequence in 3-D animation!
“The respectful homage to the Tales from the Crypt TV show, added a modernized direction while staying true to the original creator’s vision by recreating the Intro sequence completely in CG to show their passion for the TV show and digital art,” they explain.
