Back in August 2012 we told you about a pitch being created to sell Dimension on a reboot of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, while also sharing some awesome concept art.

Paul Gerrard (Wrath of the Titans, Battle: Los Angeles) is the man behind the art, which was used to create the imagery for the below teaser trailer, directed by Mike Le Han (“Mrs. Peppercorn’s Magical Reading Room”).

Now, the “pitch trailer” for Hellraiser: Origins is set to screen at the HollyShorts Film Festival this weekend.

HollyShorts is back with the popular monthly screening series at the world famous TCL Chinese 6 Theatres, for a frightfully fang-tastic Halloween Special on October 29th. There will be three screenings this month – 7:00pm and 9:00pm will be a selection of spooktacular shorts. The 11pm will be a special feature presentation Dude Bro Massacre Party III. Attendees can vote on their favorite film from the line-ups as usual, the short with the most votes will be announced in their November Newsletter and gets an automatic bid into the 12th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival & Film Conference.

Here’s a description of the former Hellraiser: Origins pitch from August 2012:

In July Paul Gerrard and Mike Le Han produced a teaser trailer to accompany the pitch document which has many more conceptual designs that revision Hellraiser. Paul designed the new look for Pinhead and was production designer on the shoot and Le Han pulled in all of his film resources and directed the teaser on the new Alex 4:3 camera with anamorphic lenses.

With a crew of 47 and over 100 bloodied extras, the shoot was completed and is now in the depths of post production with a massive amount of VFX work being undertaken. Method Studios, Fugitive Studios and Flipbook Animation are helming the chi/VFX with the talented Glen Southern designing (CG build of) the new Hellraiser box.

When the teaser is complete they’ll be presenting it to Dimension Films along with an outline of the first film story and conceptual art pitch document with the hope to work on rebooting the Hellraiser franchise and bringing it into the 21st Century.

Also, below check out new concept art showing “Deconstructing Nailhead,” among other sweet imagery.

*Important Note: It should be pointed out that this is known as a fan-made trailer assembled with the hopes of catching Dimension’s attention. There is nothing official about the below, other than the excitement of seeing a really cool fan-made pitch that will hopefully blow our collective minds… Pinhead deserves to be resurrected.

Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed

Published

The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.

“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”

Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”

EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.

Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.

The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).

The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and everyfinal chapterthat absolutely isn’t final.

Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
