One of the things we’re most thankful for in the genre space this year is Neill Blomkamp‘s (District 9, Chappie) Oats Studios, a bold new venture that has allowed Blomkamp to step outside the studio system and let his imagination run wild.
Incredible shorts like Rakka, Firebase and Zygote quickly put Oats Studios on the map as a studio worth paying close attention to, and Blomkamp unleashes another treat today.
The first in a series of shorts about medieval giants, Blomkamp’s Gdansk was inspired by the art of independent concept artist and illustrator Jakub Rozalski, and it shows us what happens when an ordinary man crosses a medieval monster.
Spoiler alert: things don’t end very well for the man.
