“The Office” star John Krasinski wrote and directed this year’s A Quiet Place, starring Krasinski himself alongside real-life wife, Emily Blunt. On “The Ellen Show” this morning, Krasinski debuted the film’s brand new trailer, ahead of its April release.
“[Emily] was actually recommending people to be in it,” Krasinki told Ellen, explaining how Blunt came on board. “And she had all these names of people she thought would be great. And then she said, ‘Can I read it?’ We were on a plane… and she just leaned over to me… she was like ‘no one else can do this movie… I have to do it.”
“It was the greatest compliment of my career,” he added.

A family lives an isolated existence in utter silence, for fear of an unknown threat that follows and attacks at any sound.
Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds also star.
Michael Bay produced along with his partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes. Scott Beck and Bryan Woods wrote the original draft of the script.
Paramount Pictures will release A Quiet Place on April 6, 2018.
