[Video] Cat Reacting to ‘Psycho’ is All of Us Watching Horror Movies

Published

Be sure to watch until the end. Trust us.

As the owner of three cats, I’ve often wondered exactly how they perceive the things that play on my television. I’ll often catch them staring at the screen, seemingly paying attention to a movie the same way that I am. But what are they actually seeing? And can they, like us, be scared and held in suspense while watching a movie?

Apparently they can, if you’re to believe that the latest “cat watching a horror movie” video going around isn’t actually a cat paying attention to a laser pointer off screen. Hey, maybe it is, but it’s way more fun, not to mention adorable, to watch it as it’s presented.

Twitter’s @MetalTearSolid is racking up the views, hearts and re-tweets for sharing a video of a cat allegedly watching Psycho, and it’s way too pure to not share with ya.

The little critter seems to be completely wrapped up in the suspense of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic. And, making Hitch proud, he reacts at all the right moments…

Dark Fantasy Grindhouse FPS ‘Unbroken’ Fills the Tarantino Quotient [Video]

Published

Developer MGP Studios (creators of the Hotline Miami-esque Project Downfall) has dipped their toes into Tarantino territory with their upcoming grindhouse FPS game, Unbroken. That means over the top “visceral bursts of violence” with a kick that turns inanimate objects into projectiles, coupled with the always-welcome Bullet Time mechanics.

Unbroken takes place in the realm of Crests Edge. You are a nameless stranger on a quest for revenge against a man known as Nielsen. You’ve tracked him to Crests Edge, and now you must bring him to justice, dead or alive. Unfortunately for you, Crests Edge is filled with all sorts of monsters and other denizens that don’t take too kindly to outsiders. Making matters worse is the fact that you have 5 full moons to complete your quest.

Along with the varied environments of Crests Edge, Unbroken obviously features gloriously gory effects. Along with the aforementioned Bullet Time and over-the-top use of anything that’s not nailed down, you have volumetric blood splashing in all directions, as well as being able to see your projectiles ripping holes through your enemies from the point of projectile entry. But if you haven’t got something to kick into your enemies, you can always choose to kick them yourself, launching them up for a wicked combo.

You can check out the demo for Unbroken as part of Steam’s FPS Fest, which wraps up later today. Look out for Unbroken later this year.
