New Premium “Valley of the Zeke” Content Update Arriving December 5 for ‘World War Z: Aftermath’ [Trailer]

In spite of Saber Interactive making the difficult decision last month, they’re still continuing on with new content for World War Z: Aftermath, announcing a new premium campaign with “Valley of the Zeke”. Arriving December 5 on PC and consoles for $9.99, “Valley of the Zeke” is set in Arizona, and features three brand-new maps and four new playable survivors. There will also be new premium character and weapon skins, as well as a free update for all players featuring new zombie varieties, the new Desert Eagle weapon, and additional surprises for challenge mode.

The “Valley of the Zeke” campaign episode features three new maps for Aftermath that will take players to Arizona with a new story set in the heart of the American Southwest, where they’ll lead a convoy of survivors to salvation through the desert and fallen urban strongholds. The update will also include the Premium “Pre-Apocalypse Character Skins Pack” and the “Burning Skulls Weapons Skin Pack” for $4.99 each.

The new campaign will also deliver a free update for all owners of the original World War Z and World War Z: Aftermath (also on December 5), and includes the following additions:

  • New zombie enemy types that will appear in all episodes, including the Juggernaut, a special zombie unit that can dish out the pain while charging down your line, as well as new military zombies with combat armor for an even greater challenge.
  • The new Desert Eagle secondary weapon, a large-caliber pistol that packs tremendous stopping power when you need it most.
  • A new set of exciting mutators for Challenge Mode and Challenge Horde Mode. Equip all auto-turrets with explosive ammo (but with reduced lifespan), embrace the Wild West theme by forcing everyone to use repeating rifles and revolvers, and more!
  • The addition of the recently released Rome XL map to Challenge Horde Mode (available only for Aftermath on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series).

World War Z: Aftermath is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Endless Mode Available Now in New Update for ‘Life Eater’

Published

Fans of Strange Scaffold and publisher Frosty Pop’s apocalyptic Life Eater have another reason to keep coming back to the game, as the much-anticipated Endless Mode is available now. Best of all, it’s a free update!

The new endless mode gives Life Eater players an arena to determine how long they can evade capture while delaying the end of the world. Collect score points called ZEAL by building an airtight procedure around your sacrifices, investigate the lives of countless procedurally generated kidnapping targets, and survive as long as possible in your personal gauntlet of nightmares.

“We’re so excited to expand the playtime of Life Eater with a uniquely dark and intriguing systemic experience,” says Strange Scaffold founder Xalavier Nelson Jr. “You really just terrorize an entire city of people over the span of decades, now, and I can only hope that I don’t come to regret writing that sentence in a press release.”

For those not in the know, Life Eater (check out Aaron’s review here) is a horror fantasy kidnapping simulator where you play as a druid living in suburbia. You serve a dark entity by abducting and sacrificing specific but vaguely described humans every year to stop the apocalypse. Use a unique video editing-inspired interface to discover the intimate lives of your victims, one schedule block at a time. When the time is right, abduct them before authorities find out.

You can snag a copy of Life Eater on Steam.
