Peacemaker Arrives for ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ on February 28 for Kombat Pack Owners

Published

on

It seems like forever since Quan Chi arrived in Mortal Kombat 1 back in December. And now it’s Peacemaker’s turn later this month. Part of the early access perk for purchasing the Kombat Pack, Peacemaker (modeled after and voiced by John Cena from his appearance in the HBO Max series and James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad) will arrive in Mortal Kombat 1 on February 28, with the character being widely available soon after.

Peacemaker’s arrival coincides with a new season for Mortal Kombat 1, with the announcement coming late yesterday from the official Mortal Kombat 1 X account. The announcement also carried the first image of Peacemaker. Details on the new Kombatant (and the new season) will be coming at a later date.

The aforementioned Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1 includes access to Omni-Man (from the Amazon Prime series Invincible), Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, and the soon-to-arrive Homelander (from the Amazon Prime series The Boys) and Takahashi Takeda. Joining them are Kameo fighters Tremor, Mavado, Janet Cage, Ferra, and Khameleon. Unfortunately, The Boys actor Antony Starr appears to not be voicing Homelander, judging from his comments last year.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 15 years since Tripwire Interactive graced horror fans with Killing Floor. To mark the occasion, not only has Tripwire made deep discounts for the sequel, but they’ve also dropped the first developer diary for the upcoming third entry in the series, Killing Floor 3.

Originally conceived of by a team of modders, the Killing Floor franchise has entertained (and horrified) more than 30+ million players worldwide, delivering years of guns, gore, and co-op mayhem. As part of the franchise anniversary celebrations, Killing Floor 2 will be free-to-play from May 16-20 on Steam, the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, the Xbox One and Xbox Series, and is on sale on all storefronts, including the Epic Games Store.

Fans can check the official Killing Floor social channels for specifics on these special anniversary, as well as the limited time discounts on Killing Floor 2. All progress made and rewards earned during this free weekend will be carried over to full accounts following purchase, including Perk levels and weapon unlocks.

Meanwhile, the first developer diary for Killing Floor 3 is also available, which “drills into the bloody history and legacy of the franchise, and how the studio is returning to its horror roots with the upcoming sequel.”

Killing Floor 3 is currently in development for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. No release date has been announced as of yet.
