Race to Construct Your Own Creation in ‘Frankenstein’s Monster’ [Trailer]
With Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein hitting select theatres over the weekend, it seems like a perfect opportunity for Tea Dunk Games to announce their upcoming title Frankenstein’s Monster. This “Among Us meets a Gothic Creature Collector” title is set to arrive on Steam in 2026, and asks the question, “What if Victor Frankenstein had competition?”.
In this darkly comic title, up to four players (or you can go up against bots) can compete against each other to build the perfect monster from scavenged body parts, before unleashing their creation to hunt rival scientists across a hand-drawn, sprawling map. The catch? Thanks to your Hippocratic Oath, every part that you take must be replaced. The result might just gift your opponent exactly what they need to complete their own creation.
Starting in your lab, you’ll venture into a large 19th-century map, swapping and raiding body parts while working alongside one of your previously-created monsters. That mostly-loyal creature will hunt down your rivals as you race against time to craft your next masterpiece.
When time runs out, your creations are judged by the prestigious scientific society, who will crown the best build. Win, and your reputation grows, unlocking new abilities. Perfect builds earn a place in your growing monster collection, who as mentioned, will assist you in gathering parts for your next creature.
At launch, there will be 13 voiced abominations for you to construct, including Mary Shelley’s original Creature, faithfully adapted from the novel’s description.
Tea Dunk Games are currently at work on the beta version of Frankenstein’s Monster, which you can keep tabs on leading up to the playtest via the dev’s official site.

Get a Taste of the Action-Packed Terror in the Demo for FPS Shooter ‘BLIGHTEN’ [Trailer]
For those itching for some throwback first-person shooter action, Blight Software has just had a demo released for their upcoming FPS BLIGHTEN. The demo sees you and your squad selected to eliminate the last rebels in the eastern wastes, only to have your slaughtered, and you trapped in a decaying research facility. And you’re not alone.
You’ll explore every room of the facility for resources and weapons in an effort to stay alive. Luckily, you’ll have an extensive arsenal of various firearms at your disposal, from shotguns to assault rifles.
You’ll need them in order to take down the various blight-ridden mutated horrors throughout the mega structure. As one would expect, you’ll need to scrounge for parts and ammo, so make every shot count.
Similar to what players experienced in the early PlayStation classic Alien Trilogy, BLIGHTEN sports hand-drawn enemy sprites and animation in a 3D retro world, creating a unique and dynamic atmosphere while still scratching that throwback itch.
It’s all wrapped up in a dark narrative, where an unseen evil lurks in the shadows of the facility, shaping the horrors around you as you descend deeper into the facility. As you navigate this industrial nightmare, every Blightened creature slain is a grim reminder to what you’ve lost — and the things you’re fighting for.
Look for BLIGHTEN later this year on Steam.
