Coinciding with crossing 1.5 million wishlists on Steam, Behaviour Interactive and Haenir Studio have released a development update video regarding their upcoming medieval co-op action-horror game, Blight: Survival. Alongside new in-engine screenshots that provide a small glimpse at gruesome combat finishers, the developer diary also showcases new footage for the game.
“Hitting 1.5 million wishlists is incredible,” said Ulrik Langvandsbråten, Creative Director and Cofounder at Haenir Studio. “We’re deeply grateful for the enthusiasm around Blight: Survival, and we’re working hard to deliver an experience that truly rewards that excitement. Partnering with Behaviour made it clear that to do the game justice, we needed to rebuild our core systems from the ground up. That reset has elevated everything, and we can’t wait to show more to future players.”
In addition to revealing new gameplay, the developers confirmed that Blight: Survival is currently running small scale playtests with cohorts of players picked from their official Discord. The team states that these early sessions are meant to give players their initial chance to experience the game firsthand and directly influence its ongoing development.

First announced back in 2022, Blight: Survival takes place in the no man’s land between two desperate kingdoms locked in a ceaseless war. Within this realm of death and decay, a new strain of Blight has erupted from the remains of the fallen. Fed and strengthened by the blood that’s been spilled, it rapidly spreads, turning man into monster. As a result, the call goes out for those brave enough to take on the dead with the promise of wealth as a reward.
