Touted as R.E.P.O. meets Jumanji, those itching to play Ludogram’s Invokyr will get their chance next month when the game launches into Early Access on Steam on October 8. The co-op horror adventure invites players to step into the cursed world of its supernatural board game, where every roll brings new challenges, monsters, and unexpected dangers.
Following the hugely successful launch of the game’s playable demo, which has surpassed 700,000 downloads, Invokyr will head to Early Access, giving players more ways to explore the manor, survive the Game Master’s increasingly dangerous challenges, and uncover the secrets surrounding the board game.
Upon launch, players will have access to four unique themes: Classic Board Games, Jungle, Icy Mountain, and Desert. Players will encounter 15+ monsters and 20+ events as they progress through increasingly dangerous boards on their way toward the ultimate Invokyr Board. The game’s dynamic rule system creates ever-changing combinations of challenges and unexpected situations, ensuring that no two runs are quite the same.
Players will also be able to master more than a dozen chaotic dice and cursed idols, each offering powerful and sometimes dangerous effects. At the same time, a dedicated shop allows them to purchase upgrades, furniture, and gadgets to improve their chances of survival. Beyond the board itself, secrets hidden throughout the manor will gradually reveal the mysteries surrounding the cursed game and its mysterious Game Master.
“We’ve been incredibly excited to see how players have responded to Invokyr so far, and Early Access is the next big step for us,” says Ludogram CEO Edouard Gaudel. “We want players to experience the world we’ve created, experiment with its systems, play together, and help us shape the game as development continues. We can’t wait to see what happens when the Game Master welcomes everyone to the table.”
Set within the creaking walls of a long-abandoned home, Invokyr has players uncover the sinister history of a 1970s board game that should have remained forgotten. What begins as a nostalgic curiosity quickly spirals into a desperate struggle for freedom as each roll of the dice unleashes grotesque creatures, traps, and twisted biomes that defy reality. A cursed Gamemaster, voiced by Amelia Tyler (Baldur’s Gate 3, Hades 2), will be their host as they try to leave the game or forever be lost to the shadows.
