On the heels of Escape From Playtime launching into Early Access, fans have discovered an unlockable teaser that points to Mob Entertainment potentially returning to the mainline Poppy Playtime series with Chapter 6. After being discovered by fans, Mob Entertainment has now dropped the trailer onto their YouTube channel.
The teaser trailer is unlockable in the final “shift” of an Escape From Playtime run, seemingly suggesting that the gameplay in the new co-op spin-off has been working toward the actual narrative for a sixth chapter. The teaser features the voice of The Prototype, who was the main antagonist in Chapter 5. What this implies is still unclear.
Apart from the creepy imagery, there’s the obvious “2027” at the end of the teaser, indicating that we would see a Chapter 6 next year. In the meantime, the devteam is aiming to keep expanding Escape From Playtime through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027 with more content.
Escape From Playtime is available in Early Access on Steam for $9.99 USD, with a limited-time 10% launch discount. Players who own the free-to-play Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 will receive an additional 10% off.
