After a massive 4-day opening, the newest Scream dropped 58.6% at the box office but still managed to add another $12.40M here in the States totaling $51.34M, more than Scream 4‘s entire domestic run ($38.1M). It also collected $10M overseas for an international total of $33M. Globally, Scream is currently sitting at $83M in just two weeks. It will cross the $100M barrier and a sequel will undoubtedly get underway in the coming year.
The movie theater is currently the only place you can see the brand new Scream movie, unfortunately, but we can expect that a Scream 4k Digital HD and physical media release isn’t far behind. In fact, you can already pre-order the movie’s home video releases through Amazon this week!
We don’t yet have any release dates but the Amazon listings reveal that Scream will be coming to DVD/Blu/4K, and it will also be released in 4K & Blu two-packs with the original Scream!
